Adipose-Derived Mesenchymal Stromal Cells: A Tool for Bone and Cartilage Repair
نویسندگان
چکیده
The osteogenic and chondrogenic differentiation ability of adipose-derived mesenchymal stromal cells (ASCs) their potential therapeutic applications in bone cartilage defects are reported this review. This becomes particularly important when these disorders can only be poorly treated by conventional approaches, tissue engineering may represent a valuable alternative. Being mesodermal origin, ASCs easily induced to differentiate into chondrocyte-like osteocyte-like elements used repair damaged tissues. Moreover, they harvested for autologous implantation. A plethora ASC-based strategies being developed worldwide: include the transplantation freshly cells, vitro expanded or predifferentiated cells. improving positive effects, implanted combination with several types scaffolds that ensure correct cell positioning; support viability, proliferation migration; contribute differentiation. Examples described here, showing enormous field. For safety regulatory issues, most investigations still at experimental stage carried out animal models. Clinical have, however, been promising results no serious adverse effects.

Adipose, Bone Marrow and Synovial Joint-Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells for Cartilage Repair
Current cell-based repair strategies have proven unsuccessful for treating cartilage defects and osteoarthritic lesions, consequently advances in innovative therapeutics are required and mesenchymal stem cell-based (MSC) therapies are an expanding area of investigation. MSCs are capable of differentiating into multiple cell lineages and exerting paracrine effects. Due to their easy isolation, e...

Tumor Associated Mesenchymal Stromal Cells Show Higher Immunosuppressive and Angiogenic Properties Compared to Adipose Derived MSCs
Background: Differentiation, migratory properties and availability of Mesenchymal Stromal Cells (MSC) have become an important part of biomedical research. However, the functional heterogeneity of cells derived from different tissues has hampered providing definitive phenotypic markers for these cells. Objective: To characterize and compare the phenotype and cytokines of adipose derived MSCs (...

Introduction: Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) hold great promise in the field of regenerative medicine.Although originally isolated from bone marrow, MSCs have since been obtained from a variety of adult and neonatal tissues including the adipose tissue. Stemness and multipotential features of Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSC) has been highlighted in many studies but there are many dark aspects in ex...

Background and Aims: Previous studies have shown that adipose-derived mesenchymal stem/ stromal cells are one of the sources of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) with the capacity to differentiate into various mesodermal cell lineages. MSCs with cytokines secretion capability, which contributes to repair damaged tissues have gained wide credence for future cell-based therapeutic applications. In th...
